Woe to Pro

  The two founders started their adulthood journey as mechanics. The satisfaction of taking something that didn't work or barely working and making it work well was fulfilling and rewarding at first. When school was over and turning actual pro at spinning wrenches, the feeling became quite different. It became a grind. It didn't take long before realizing that some people would just complain to complain. Or they would complain to get freebies. I don't know which would be considered worse. Either way, it was no longer satisfying. The love was lost for a while and then it would come back briefly and then gone again. It was realized that changes had to be made. That there was no way happiness would ever be achievable on that course. Somehow the idea to pick something that was mostly straightforward, noisy, wet and basically uninterruptable came to mind. An epiphany to do what seemed to be going backward but when you see landscapers, pest control and pressure washer trucks going down the road, it's clear that isn't true. The tools were there, the business plan fairly straightforward and an abundance of local clients existed, so it wasn't a giant leap to give it a try. A simple name and a couple flyers later, they knew it wasn't a bad decision. To top it off, the ability and willingness to work on their own toys and engines returned and proved to be the best of both worlds because it cut costs on maintenance. Sometimes the universe works in mysterious ways.
